Rigorent experiences speedy growth with Skyscanner Car Hire search
Launched globally in 2013, Skyscanner’s Car Hire search engine continues to go from strength to strength, offering a truly global vehicle rental distribution platform with suppliers and pick-up points in over 90 countries throughout the world.
With over 1.5 million car hire searches taking place on the site every month, Skyscanner travellers are highly engaged and our partners achieving higher than market average conversion rates. One of our partners who’ve been capitalising on their integration and seeing real benefits is Rigorent.
A developing brand of car rental in Turkey, Rigorent’s aim is to serve customers with a high quality service and competitive pricing on car rentals. Despite being a fairly new brand, Rigorent is now serving travellers from 60 locations across Turkey with expansion plans into Europe. Rigorent uses Kolay Car to power its web, reservations and counter system, which helped speed up the integration as Skyscanner had already built an interface with Kolay Car. Since integrating on Skyscanner in 2016, Rigorent have grown at pace, tapping into Skyscanner’s extensive market and driving real growth for their car hire business in Turkey.
We chatted to Rigorent’s CEO Cemal Fenercioglu about why they opted to integrate on Skyscanner’s Car Hire search engine and the future of the partnership.
Hi Cemal, can you tell us a bit about why you opted to integrate with Skyscanner?
I’d had the opportunity to work with Skyscanner through one of our other brands which is already integrated, therefore it was our first priority to get our new developing brand onto the platform too.
We believe Skyscanner offers a worldwide high value marketplace, combining technology with simplicity to meet the needs and expectations of travellers. The transparent business model of Skyscanner differentiates it from similar aggregator sites and makes it the first choice of all parties, while bringing together the car rental suppliers offering their customers the highest service standards with their best prices.
What has worked particularly well so far in the partnership?
Working with Skyscanner is easy. We are in close contact with the team there who focuses on our needs, listen to our recommendations, ask our opinions and motivates us to improve. Rather than treating us as competitors, the team in Skyscanner works like our companions. We always get solution oriented answers from our contacts swiftly, with a respectful communication level which makes us really value having Skyscanner as our partners.
Have you seen any particularly good results from the partnerships so far?
Of course. Skyscanner is a prestigious brand using technology effectively focusing on the needs of travellers. We believe this is why Skyscanner is the leader of its market. Since we launched the Rigorent rental brand, we’ve easily been able to follow the effect of the volume of visitors and the positive effects on our conversion rates.
Since launching we’ve been able to grow both business volume but also brand recognition for our small car rental brand.

We can easily check our performance of volume through the click reports which are sent weekly. We compare them with our reports and discuss our results with the team to do better. The weekly reports are highly informative and support us in making better decisions.
In spite of the fact that Rigorent have only been integrated in the Skyscanner engine for a relatively short period of time, the results have been fantastic. Rigorent’s integration on Skyscanner has a strong future and one that we look forward to.
