We’re proud to be a launch partner for Microsoft’s new AI companion, Copilot Actions, announced at the company’s 50th anniversary in Seattle last week.
At Skyscanner, it’s our mission to make travel planning feel less like a chore and more like the first step of a traveller’s adventure. Simple, smooth and stress-free – that’s the dream, and we’re always using the latest innovations to enhance the experience to get our users there faster.
Right now, AI is opening up a whole new runway. It presents a unique opportunity to fundamentally reshape how we understand travellers, solve their problems and create better, more helpful products.
As a global leader in travel and technology, we’re not just watching the future unfold – we’re helping build it. Our global flights insights are hugely valuable for AI tools. By teaming up with Microsoft Copilot, we can bring smarter, faster and more intuitive experiences straight to travellers’ fingertips.
The partnership builds on our existing longstanding relationship with Microsoft which sees our Skyscanner Flights API power Microsoft’s Bing Flights.
“We’re entering a new era of travel search. Rapid developments in generative AI, travel retailing and social shopping are changing how travellers find inspiration and compare flight, hotel and car hire options. We’re excited to be a launch partner for Microsoft’s new Copilot Actions AI companion and to be part of the latest offerings in travel AI.”
Piero Sierra, Chief Product Officer, Skyscanner
What’s Copilot Actions?
It’s like a digital life (and travel) assistant – an AI-powered tool that can do things for you, like booking concert tickets, reserving a table at your favourite restaurant, or searching for flights.
Just send it a simple message – no tech speak needed – and it gets to work, navigating the web like a human would: clicking, scrolling, typing. If it needs a hand (for payment or personal details, for example), it’ll ask.
Copilot Actions is being launched initially to Copilot Labs users in the US.
Here are some prompts you can ask Copilot, which Skyscanner will answer:
- “Compare flight prices for different airlines flying from London to Madrid.”
- “What are the best days to book flights for the lowest fare?”
- “Show me flights with layovers in Singapore from Rome to Sydney.”
