Brazil-based metasearch site Mundi (www.mundi.com.br) has partnered with leading global travel search engine Skyscanner to offer international flight results as backfill to its users.
The new partnership, launched this week, will offer Mundi’s users more options to compare flights, giving them the benefit of Skyscanner’s global reach, over 1200 air ticket providers. The latest addition to the flights partnership follows the announcement last year that Skyscanner was powering Mundi’s car rental results.
“We are thrilled to start this new partnership. At Mundi (www.mundi.com.br), we are always looking for different ways to improve the user experience, which is the reason why we are very much looking forward to working with Skyscanner. On top of that, offering more qualified options to users on our international front is part of our goal as a metasearch and is aligned with this year's growth strategy", says Paula Rebouças, Mundi´s COO.
The new search tool was developed for Mundi by Skyscanner, through its cutting-edge API. The tool allows Mundi to provide Skyscanner’s powerful flight search data while combining it with its own branding.
Shane Corstorphine, Skyscanner’s General Manager, Americas commented, “We are delighted to have extended our partnership more deeply with Mundi. We began powering Mundi’s Car Rental results last year and are pleased that are now offering them a full flights out-source. Skyscanner’s flight results offer some of the most extensive coverage globally, and we’re happy to be able to offer this range of choice to Mundi’s users in Brazil.
