In 2016, voice, bots and messaging technology swept into the mainstream, becoming a key new channel for many in the travel industry.
Skyscanner was at the forefront of this wave, releasing the first voice-based travel search skill for Amazon's Alexa, as well as launching the first flight search bot for the Facebook Messenger platform and Skype.
We believe this new wave of conversational technology will be key for the industry and learning and embracing this new channel early a high priority.
